'I don't know. Maybe 10? 15?' Arnav shifted uncomfortably and moved onto his back to look up at the ceiling.

Khushi moved as well so her arms rested on his bare chest and she was looking down at him, 'Arnav! Was it 10 or 15? I need to know. There's Lavanyaji obviously and who else? What about that Lisa woman? Do you remember her? With the fur coat? Am I right? Was she one of them?'

'Khushi please, I don't want to have this conversation. You're just going to be angry at me for no reason. It doesn't matter how many girlfriends I've had. I only have one wife and that's you.'

Khushi pouted and moved off Arnav, lying down beside him. 'Fine. If I was you I'd want to know about all of my boyfriends but if that's how you feel...'

Arnav rolled back to his side facing her and raised an eyebrow. 'Excuse me? Exactly how many have there been Miss Khushi Kumari Gupta?'

'Singh Raizada,' Khushi added haughtily before turning excitedly so they were back in the position they'd originally started in. 'Well you know about Nanheji already so...'

The amused smirk slipped from Arnav's face, 'wait! What? NK?'

'Yes, do you remember Jiji and Jeejaji's party? Nanheji was my date.' When Arnav reluctantly nodded she continued, 'then there was Saurabh in Lucknow. He was so beautiful.' Khushi clasped both hands to her chest as she reminisced, 'I was going to marry him you know.'

'Oh really?' Arnav replied warily.

'Yes. Him and his father used to run the hotel across from Babuji's sweet store and in the mornings when I would go to set the shop up he would always bring me a cup of tea and we would have them with jalebis.'

'You made him jalebis?' Arnav blanched in horror as he was fully aware of Khushi's childhood dream to feed her husband jalebis.

'Of course, I had to make them for the shop so I used to make a few extra. Anyway I have to tell you about Randhir but you have to promise you won't get angry.'

Arnav sat up, the blanket pooling at his waist as he massaged his temples. His threshold for withstanding Khushi's chatter not quite as high at 2 in the morning as it usually was. 'I can't promise until I know what it is.'

Khushi sat up and leaned her head on his shoulder, taking over the massage on his head.  'See the thing is... Randhir used to... well he used to sit behind me and... At first I used to wear my plait at the back but he would always pull my ribbon and then when I moved my plait to the side he... he used to pull my dori and untie it.'

Arnav turned to her in shock, 'he did what?! How dare he?! Didn't you... wait Khushi, how old were you when he used to do this?'

'12 and do you know I had to sit in front of him for three whole months before...'

Arnav shook his head in disbelief, 'Khushi I'm exhausted and you're driving me crazy! I'm going to sleep.'

Khushi clung to Arnav's shoulder as he lay down, hovering over him. 'Arnav! Arnav you can't do this. Tell me please. How many were there?'

'Go to sleep Khushi!'

After a lot of loud sighing and fussing, Khushi eventually lay back down. Her eyes had just started to droop when she heard him speak.

'I think it's more around the region of 300 women if we're counting encounters like those as relationships.'
