Part 5

1st July 2012

We gave you the exclusive yesterday on Shyam Manohar Jha's claim to the late Arnav Singh Raizada's estate and today we bring you another exclusive! Khushi Singh Raizada (22) widow of the deceased has finally come out of hiding! We've been waiting for a glimpse of the pretty young widow ever since news of her husband's disappearance reached the media sphere and it was a pretty shocking sight! It's obvious that the poor thing is stressed out and possibly delusional. She was dressed in a garish red suit (not one of AR's designs mind you) outside Delhi High Court and looking as married as it's possible to look without a husband by your side.

Khushi declared her intention to fight Shyam Manohar Jha for the properties and assets of her late husband which amount to a net worth of over Rs. 200 million. There has been no official statement from AR Industries or the Raizada family but Police Reports suggest that Khushi Singh Raizada will be contesting the terms of the will on the grounds of deceit and falsification of documents. A court date has been set for early next week.

---

Arnav read the report again to see that he had understood correctly. Khushi was fighting Shyam for his money? But that made no sense. If she and Shyam were together why would she do this? What would she have to gain? Unless she had grown bored with Shyam and wanted the money for herself? His family and hers had always respected her so maybe this was just another way for her to ensure that she kept that respect along with all the money as well. Now that she thought he was dead, she must think her secret had died with him.

There was a picture. The first one he'd seen in over a month. He felt his throat catch as he saw that she was still wearing her mangalsutra and sindoor and the dress although photographed in black and white shouted colour and sparkles to him. She did look ill though, as if she'd lost weight although he didn't know how that could be possible when she had already been ridiculously thin before. Her face looked tired, drawn and years older as if he'd been away years and not months.

Arnav sighed. He had spent the entire night trying to think of what his next move would be; he couldn't let Shyam have his money and so had decided to go back to India today. Now it seemed he'd have to wait some more. He needed to see what Khushi's plans were. If she did get the money what would she do? Leave with it all or provide for his family? He traced his hand lightly over the picture provided and tapped the part where her face was thoughtfully.
