Part 7

21st August 2012

We at the Delhi Times have been following the Khushi Singh Raizada vs Shyam Manohar Jha case avidly and it is with great pleasure we can report that the court ruled in favour of Khushi on Monday last week! The case was fast-tracked through the system due to the high profile names involved (as well as some well-placed bribes we suspect) among much mud-slinging including rumours of an affair gone sour between the plaintiff and the defendant.

Sameer Sharma from AR Industries which is once again in the control of the Raizada family issued this statement on their behalf:

The court case has been a huge success and we are thankful that AR Industries and its associated holdings are all once again with their rightful owners. Mrs Raizada immediately began proceedings last week to transfer in full all properties and assets that she was awarded in this court case to Anjali Singh Raizada and her daughter Avni Singh Raizada.

We at AR Industries have always believed that ASR would not leave his family empty handed and the workers' strikes this past month are a clear indication that our loyalties have always been with the Raizada family.

We were saddened to learn of the betrayals committed by a former respected family member both to the Raizadas and the Guptas and the losses that have come as a result of this betrayal have been a shock. However we hope that the matter of ownership is now fully resolved.

The family has some personal issues that they are currently dealing with and as such would appreciate some privacy and discretion. We will keep you informed as and when the information can be released.

Congratulations Khushi Singh Raizada! We knew you could do it! But why the secrecy? Why did AR Industries and the Raizadas wait almost a week to release a statement? Why has Khushi transferred everything to her sister-in-law and niece? And what are these new personal issues? As soon as we find out, you'll find out!

---

She had given everything back to Di? Was there no end to her selflessness? He'd followed the court case the entire month, his feet itching to go back and sort everything out with just his presence but he had waited. He wanted to give her that chance to shine, prove to the world just how strong she was.

Although she didn't look so strong. The case had evidently taken its toll on her; she had looked increasingly ill and worn out with every new photo. He had taken every single one and cut them out, lingering over them for hours, memorising her face even more than he already had in person. In the last photo he had which had been taken last week, probably when she'd known she would win the case; he could finally see some relief in her. Her posture was more relaxed and she had a serene look on her face as if she was finally at peace.

The fear that she would now accept his death and remove her mangalsutra and sindoor gnawed at his brain. He couldn't stay a minute longer; he had to go back to her. Arnav took out his phone and booked a flight for the very next day.
