FF: 30 Days - Day 19

Day 19

'Come on Arnav! I want to go already!' Khushi stood impatiently by the door watching Arnav walk towards her slowly.

'What have you got in this suitcase? Rocks? You're only going for four days.'

'It's got all my clothes for the wedding and all our presents for Jiji too!'

'Err... Khushi you do realise Payal's coming to this house so you could just wait until she gets here and give her the presents then,' Arnav said as he lifted the suitcase into the boot.

'She has to have them before the wedding Arnav. Before.'

'So why do you even have to go home today anyway? The sangeet's not until tomorrow.'

'Aww is somebody going to miss me?' She pinched his cheek as she spoke in a baby voice and Arnav swatted her hand away and kept driving. 'Because I want to and I have to help Sarita practice. Preeti knows all her steps for the dances but Sarita keeps messing them up but I want everything to be perfect for Jiji's sangeet.'

'You want to? As in you want to go so you can stay away from me?' He looked over at her and smirked. Neither of them had explicitly mentioned the previous day's events, reverting to the same type of teasing around the subject that they'd done the day after their wedding. 'Scared you won't be able to resist me Khushi?'

'Of course, of course.' Khushi gave him an obviously fake grin before she stuck out her tongue at him.

'Okay I have to go now,' Khushi tried to disentangle herself from Arnav; the gearstick which had been sticking into her side for the past five minutes was starting to hurt.

'Mmm, goodbye,' Arnav said before he kissed her again, another long and lingering kiss showing just how much he'd miss her despite his protestations otherwise.

 'What are you wearing?'

Khushi sat up on the bench immediately, 'Arnav!'

'Yes?'

'No 'hi', no 'how are you' just 'what are you wearing'? What if Jiji or Buaji had answered the phone? And what kind of silly question is that anyway?'

'W.. well that was a mood killer. I really didn't need the mental image of Buaji in a nightie. Thanks for that Khushi.' Arnav grimaced in distaste, holding the phone away from him slightly as if Buaji would suddenly jump out of it.

'But you wouldn't mind Jiji?'

'What?'

'You didn't say anything about imagining Jiji in a nightie would be a mood killer.'

Arnav rolled his eyes, 'It was implied Khushi. Even you in a nightwear is a mood killer. I prefer you with a lot less on,' he said seductively and waited for a response. All he got was an exasperated sigh and silence. 'Where is Payal anyway? Normally you turn into a nun and refuse to speak to me in front of her, what's different today?'

'Shut up Arnav, we can't all be as shameless as you. Talking and touching and... kissing no matter who's there or who's not there. I still remember what you did you know. Anyway I'm outside, Jiji's inside talking to her own Mr Raizada.'

'Oh really? Go Akash. Anyway back to you not wearing any clothes...'

Khushi smiled to herself and lay back down, 'hmmm?'

'Well if you were here, and you were naked you'd be saying a lot more than 'hmmm' sweetheart.'

'Oh really? And what would I be saying, darling?'

'If I recall correctly, ny name is pretty much all you can ever manage when naked,' Arnav said wickedly placing his free hand behind his head as he lay in bed and pictured her.

His words had Khushi shooting up to a sitting position again, 'er... no Arnav! In case you've forgotten, the bet is still on and I don't hear any begging from you so your little fantasy will remain just that until you do!'

'Oh Khushi, Khushi, Khushi. So naive and innocent. You'll be the one begging not me. Trust me. You know that Arnav Singh Raizada never loses.' His smirk turned into laughter as he heard her splutter into the phone and cut the phone off after a hurried 'goodnight'.
